For centuries, art has been seen as some sort of decorative object or a sanctifying icon, in both cases as the central screaming beacon of status in the room, house, village, or palace.
Nevertheless, a few years ago, a new vision and perspective —and I love that last renaissance light— has been taking shape. An intersection, a match came from heaven itself. Art, not decoration, has become an indispensable element in the luxury equation. Beyond the medium, material, or technique, artwork is essential to complete an atmosphere, a whole daily experience for the inhabitants of a thoughtfully designed and tailored environment, where life itself takes place.

I’m not in a position to assure or pontify about the place of art in the decades to come, but I do know this: art is no longer an object in a room or hall; it is, at least for now and the years to come, the next big variable inside the system of luxury space statement.
When I write and think about a luxury statement, I mean the very foundations of semiotics in everyday people's lives.
And you may think, ok, then where were the place of great master art pieces when they had a special and preponderant place in castles, palaces, and great halls. Well, it’s simple; they were the king star around the rest of those system places were subjects. Not anymore, the sun, the star is the inhabitant, the artwork becomes, if you want, the gravitational force that gives coherence to the whole system, but not the scream in the room, but the jewel of the crown, not the crown itself.
Then, and only then, finally art belongs.
